A Global Day to End Child Marriage We warmly welcome the establishment of 27 November as the UN International Day for the Elimination of Child, Early and Forced Marriage a powerful milestone in the global movement to protect girls’ rights and accelerate action to end child marriage. Global recognition matters, but recognition must lead to action. Ending child marriage requires protecting children from violence and exploitation, keeping girls in school, challenging harmful social norms and inequalities, strengthening accountability, and investing in girls and locally led solutions. At Desk of Hope International Ministries Rukungiri, Uganda, we remain committed to working alongside girls, families, schools, faith leaders, communities, government and partners to build a future where every girl is safe, educated, empowered and free to choose her own future. Every girl deserves the right to dream, learn, lead and thrive. Together, we can end child marriage and build a safer, brighter future for every child.
